How big is this meat eater?
These bears are 8 to 11.5 feet (2.4-3.5 meters) in length
Very big! Adult males normally weigh 351 to more than 544 kilograms (775 to 1,200 pounds).
adult females are a lot more smaller, normally weigh 150 to 295(330 to 650 pounds). The largest polar bear ever recorded was a male weighing 2,209 pounds. Wow! that's a big polar bear!

Let's talk about how Polar Bears survive in their environment in the Aortic! Polar Bears were made for very cold weather! Polar bears love the arctic climate, specially where winter temperatures can plunge to -45º C (-50º F). Polar bears  are insulated by two layers of fur that help keep them warm. They also have a thick fat layer. A little Bit About MY Life!

Hello everybody it's been awhile. I have forgotten about my blog. Sorry!! But I have something really awesome to blog about today and it's MY LIFE!

When I was a baby my Momma and Daddy would sing me lullaby's. I would roll over and they would think I was a sleep. Then they would stop and and I would let them know I wasn't sleeping I was enjoying them singing to me. So guess what they would continue to sing and i would finally fall asleep I guess because I can not remember. =)

There are a lot of stupid moments where I am klutzy and I don't think right when someone tells me to do something. I am smart but dumb at same time.. Momma Say's in time I grow out of it she hopes! But being klutzy is very upsetting at times. Because I hurt myself lots.

For an example I got to go camping with my Mamee and Poppa in Arkansas last month. Well I kept tripping over everything and I bruised my knee and arm and other leg plus a bump on my head. Yep I tried being careful but my legs and all they to my head had other ideas. OUCH

I'm in fourth grade. It's very hard getting past these grades. It's just like breaking glass but little bit harder to break the glass. But my momma gives me a good eduction and strives for me to succeed!

I want to talk about my big birthdays!
When I turned one my Momma and Daddy had a huge turn out for my birthday. Everyone that they invited came! I don't remember so we will move on!
On my 8th birthday I got a globe and skates I also got a camcorder so I could video take as I do things. I used it when I was on my skates and guess what the camcorder broke because I fell see I am klutzy! But we also was able to break a pinata it was super cool never had one of my own before!

well when I grow up and I am married I have it all worked out. First I am going to be a singer on the radio for God the all and mighty. Then I am going to be a veterinarian that takes care of horses. I am also going to have a farm with horses, cows and chickens. Then I plan on having 6 children like my Momma and Daddy. If my husband doesn't agree with that he isn't the right man for me so we wouldn't be married to begin with! But I will finish my schooling so I can do anything I put my mind to. and when I am grown God will show me the way!

How am I doing I am trying to blog and I will think of what I can BLOG about next time!

Happy Birthday Jesus

Well today I have decided to talk about Jesus Birthday. I went a head and made a home made cake. Celebrating Jesus birth. Because it is so important because God gave us his only begotten son so we can be saved from our sins.

Every year my Mom makes a cake and we sing Happy Birthday to Jesus every Christmas. Well this year I asked my Mom if i could make it with her help! She said YES!! So I choose to make a yellow cake no not a box mix.

First we used this recipe Basic Yellow Cake. My Mom made me read the direction's.She also had me measure the ingredients. it was really cool. I had some problems breaking the eggs but Mom helped me get it right. After mixing everything we put it in the cake pan.

I am so proud it is looking good even without frosting.I can not wait I am so excited!! After it cooled seemed like for ever We started icing it.This is the butter cream icing recipe

I decided to use blue for boarder because it reminded me of the ocean.I am very proud of this cake. It is the first one I did almost by myself.



Here is Jesus Birthday Cake with candles. Well it is a portion of the bunches that should be on it. But if we would have put all of them we wouldn't have a house standing. Now that's a lot of CANDLES...

Turtle are Cool!

Today I'm going to talk about turtle. There are many varieties of turtle in the world. I have read that there are 270 and counting. Thats not a lot but sure seems alot to me.

They say Turtle have been on the earth for over 230 million years. What's  really cool is they where here before dinosaurs. Can you believe it they are really OLD. But they must be really cool to God because they have been on earth for long time.

Turtles can live almost anywhere!! In 230 million years, they have evolved to utilize very different habitats. They live everywhere on earth except the Arctic and Antarctic. The following examples will give you an idea of the different habitats:

The Desert Tortoise lives in a hot, dry environment, eats grass, and has stumpy feet with toes that are not webbed.

The Malayan Box Turtle lives in a hot, humid, aquatic environment, eats everything that it finds in the water, and has webbed feet.

The little Vietnamese Wood Turtle lives in cool, limestone mountains, eats primarily bugs, worms, snails and has partially webbed toes. it actually hardly goes for a swim.

The Diamondback Terrapin live in slightly salty waters. Has fully webbed feet and stays in the water most of the time. It eats crawfish, snails, fish, insects and worms.

There are a variety of Sea Turtles that stay in the ocean all the time, coming ashore only to lay eggs. They have flippers. They travel all over the world.

 After learning there are several different types of turtles and they live in different types of habitats. We go on to ask do all turtles have shells? Yes all Trutles have shells but not all of their shells are the same.And were not talking about sea shells.  They all have different shells. Some turtles have soft shells and others have box looking shells while others have shells that look like armor. So then we go on to ask can turtles take of their shells? Well no they can not.they would be naked and unprotected.

Another question would be can turtles hear? We yes they can and they even have ears. Not ears like you and me but they have ears inside their heads.They dont hear very well outside their heads. They hear from the nerve endings inside their head.

 Then I got to thinking what is the biggest turtle sea turtle is the Leather Back Sea Trutle it grows as big as 7 feet long and wieghing about 2000 pounds. Thats so cool!

 The biggest land Turtle which by the way is called a Tortoise. They get as big as 500 pounds and grow up to 6 feet.

The biggest fresh water turtle is the Alligator Snapping Turtle. They grow to be about 175 pounds and are about 26 inches long.

Then we come to the smallest turtle. It is actually a tortoise. The name is Speckled Cape padloper tortoise they grow to be about 3 inches.

Here is another interesting question. Are turtles poisonous? Well no they are not they do not have teeth or fangs. But I did read that there is a box turtle that has made people sick from eating their meat, because they eat poisonous mushrooms.

Do turtle take care of their babies. No they have are not good parents at all. The Mommas lay eggs and leave. The baby turtles hatch and fend for themselves.

Well I got to thinking what is the difference with turtles and tortois? Well the funny thing is Turtles live in or by water. tortios live on land always. Very cool and makes think why do turtles not get water logged?? But thats the way God made them.

Well there are a lot of happy turtles out there and I feel good about that. Thank you for reading what I found.

                             

Girl Scout Cookies 2011 are gone

  Thank you to everyone who bought girl scout cookies from troop 463 your awesome! I sold over 400 boxes. I am so excited. I will get lots of prizes. Being a brownie ROCKS!!  Our whole troop 463 sold almost 7000 boxes. We rock, it was a long but awesome experience. Booth sales seemed to last for ever but it paid off because I sold over 400 boxes. Next year we will sell more!

  

My favorite Girl Scout cookie is the thin mint is there really any other KIND! They are minty goodness. I love how the chocolate cookie with mint chocolate coating goes together awesome in MILK ( mind you I don't like milk)! I will miss them until next year!

Well I really don't know how many kinds there are all I know is we sold 8 different kinds this year. They were Lemon, Trefoil, Do-Si-Do, Dulce le leche, Thank you berry Munch, Samoa, Tagalongs and Thin Mints. I didn't try them all but I tried and really liked the Samoa cookies they were so delightful the caramel and coconut with chocolate was awesome. The Thank you berry munch was awesomeness they were like eating a oatmeal cookie but with a granola twist. The Dulce were yummy but not my favorite. The tagalongs are like Reece cups with a cookie crunch. but again not my favorite Like thin Mints. Yes I am a thin mint girl can you say YUMMMO!

I am so glad cookie season is over but I sure will miss all the yummy cookies. I can not wait until next year 2012 cookies will be even better! So when you see Girl Scout Cookie time look for ME!!!

A little about Pandas

Panda bears are a friend to the earth.  Because these are my thoughts on Panda Bears. I do love Panda bears. 

Panda bears like the cold mostly in central Asia. The Panda likes to live 4000 to 1100 feet high in elevation.The panda's are loosing with habitat do to humans are building house's and making it to where the pandas don't have a place to call home.

 Panda Bears give birth to 2 cubs in early fall. But usually the Momma Panda lets one die to keep the other cub alive. Baby panda's only quarter of a pound when born. The panda babies live with their Momma until they are about 1 and a half year old.

It was a BLAST!!!!

Hi this is my Momma. We went to Chuck E Cheese and we took this picture. It was a blast. There was a lot of people there I think it was because it was raining and yukky outside. Which makes it a great day to go to Chuck E Cheese. I sure hope you get to go and have fun acting like a kid. It was so cramped but it was fun. As you can see for me I really had fun there. I saved a token and I did not even know until the next day. I wish my friend Katelyn would have come to have fun with me.

This is my family we scrunched together to get this picture kinda don't you think? Momma and Daddy took my sisters and I to Chuck E Cheese because we have been working very hard on our school work and chores. I am glad I did and I will keep doing all the time.
